Facts about photovoltaic

Answers to the most important questions about solar-energy

If we want to prevent further global warming with its dramatic consequences, we must completely switch our energy system to renewable sources by 2050 at the latest. Photovoltaic is one of the pillars without which this energy transition cannot succeed. Not much of this is currently noticeable in public perception. "Too expensive!" And "It is no longer worth it!" Can often (and incorrectly) be read in the press.

The following overview clears up such myths and misunderstandings about solar energy. Because solar energy is a clean and extremely economical form of energy supply, for both private and commercial users.

Renewable Energy Project Development Programm

Develop Solar! Advanced technical and business seminar for project development in solar energy august 2-7, 2009 - Kampala, Uganda

From the 2nd to the 7th August 2009 the seminar "Develop Solar!" Took place in the Ugandan capital Kampala. Five leading German solar companies trained 60 Ugandan solar companies, banks, telecommunications and electrical companies for a week. The aim was to convey knowledge about technology and financing, how larger solar projects are developed. After the training, the German partners offer so-called "coaching", in which they support Ugandan companies in project development.

The German companies met the President of Uganda, Mr. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, as well as the Minister of Energy, the Minister of Finance, the Minister for the Environment, the Director of the Rural Electrification Agency, the Director of Uganda Investment

SOLARA supports the reduction of electronic waste

SOLARA is officially registered under the Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG) under WEEE-reg.-No. DE 94677943

The foundation 'ear' is the "Common Body of Manufacturers" within the meaning of the Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG).

The basis is the EU directive for reducing the increasing amount of electronic waste from electrical and electronic devices that are no longer used - WEEE directive for short.

As the national register of the EU member states, "ear" is a member of the European "weee" (Waste of Electrical and Electronic Equipment) network register.

The WEEE Directive 2012/19 / EU sets minimum standards for the treatment of waste electrical and electronic equipment in the EU. It serves to avoid, reduce waste through reuse, recycling and other forms of recovery.

Associations (selection)

The Bundesverband Solarwirtschaft e.V. (BSW-Solar) represents the interests of around 1,000 solar companies. The association acts as an informant, consultant and mediator in the field of action between business, politics and consumers.

It ensures investment security in the growing solar energy sector.

All important companies in the solar industry - from raw material suppliers and production companies, via the craft to operating companies, planners and financiers - rely on the expertise and communication skills of BSW-Solar.

It is the vision of ARE that by 2030 everyone in the world and in particular all rural people in low-and medium income countries should have access to affordable, secure and clean energy and energy services.

The Alliance for Rural Electrification (ARE) who represents the decentralised clean energy sector with members along the whole value chain, was founded in 2006 to act as a solution provider in order to advance access to clean energy and energy services in developing and emerging countries.

The goal of the Global Solar Council is to champion the rapid and wide-scale adoption of solar energy through cooperation, education and training.

The principal members of the organisation are national and regional solar associations from both established and emerging markets, including the world's largest markets of Australia, China, Europe, India and other Asian countries, Middle East, South America and the United States.

Leading corporations across the solar supply chain also help lead the organisation through the Global Solar Council Leadership Forum.

SOLARUNITED is the only trade association focusing on Quality, Reliability, Innovation, and PV Technology.

Previously known as the International Photovoltaic Equipment Association (IPVEA), today we are SOLARUNITED, now serving the mutual market interests of PV equipment technology manufacturers, module producers, project developers, financiers, consultants, service providers, law firms and other parties focused on the growth of solar energy.

SOLARUNITED is continuing to grow and evolve to meet your changing needs, and it is through the active participation of our members that we are paving the path forward.
